Tractors are not appropriate for woodland use. If the tractor is small enough to manoeuvre between trees and stumps, it probably lacks the power or stability to do the work safely. If the tractor is strong enough to do the work, it may not fit under low hanging branches or between trees and stumps.Ā Ā 

Instead horses are used. This is a breed from the Ardennes forests of Belgium where they have been bred specifically for forest work, with heavy bones and thick legs. The first work this horse did when introduced to Britain was in Windsor Park.

You couldn't just saw that trunk in two..so I can put them on my little trolley (human powered) and take to cover some unsightly manhole covers in the garden
